In the process of implementation government
programs, Rural Electrification Agency (REA) was requested to map out areas which never had electricity from different sub counties within Mawogola North constituency so that they may access electricity hence improve on their businesses.
REA as a government entity is mandated by law to connect and distribute electricity to all sub counties in the whole country.
Mawogola North constituency through its member of parliament was privileged to have this team to carry out this exercise. This started on 16th up to 18th March 2022 and the following sub counties were visited; Mijwala, Sembabule town council, Lugusulu, Kawanda, Mitima and Mabindo.
- To map out all areas within Mawogola North Constituency that are in need of electricity so that they may be connected to the national grid.
- To find out areas with businesses that mostly use power and ascertain the kind of generators they were using so that they may be availed transformers with high power voltage which could suit their demand.
