BRIEF BACKGROUND

Goberera Initiative was founded in 2019 as a Non-Governement Organization to oversee, follow up and bring attention to the implementation of government programs. It has had its core values as the following up (okugoberera; Luganda parlance) on service delivery and the holding of public leaders accountable for the provision of public goods, mostly at the local government level.

True to its vision, Goberera Initiative has been able to oversee most of the government programs in the constituency of Mawogola North, following the ascendace of its patron to the Parliament of Uganda, as the area representative. GIU has focused on service delivery from both its local government of Sembabule District and the central government in the sectors of Healthcare, Infrastructure, Education and Agriculture.
